We met PictureThis (more importantly Peter) late part of 2005 at a wedding exhibition when Sarah (my wife to be) and I were planning our wedding for Sept of 2007. From the first introduction, Peter was very approachable and easy to communicate with so a further visit at his studio was booked to understand in more detail what Peter had to offer. We talked through our plans with Peter and he explained about the different packages available. After looking through some of the photo albums on display, we selected the storybook package and booked Peter for our Wedding. About 3 months before the wedding Peter invited us to an introductory photo shoot. None of the other photographers we spoke with, offered this service, but we found this introductory photo shoot very important in understanding how Peter (and the camera) operate as well as giving an introduction to our personalities. The shoot lasted about an hour and was real fun, we all had a real giggle and the worries of my ‘Chandler’ smile (from Friends) had disappeared.
Between the photo shoot and wedding day, Peter invited us back to the studio a couple of times to gather all our ideas in particular photos of people that we wanted to capture as well as providing handfuls of ideas to think about, such as photos of the boys in a rugby scrum and jumping around before the wedding. For the special photos of family members we requested, he asked many questions to make sure that he understood who everybody was, so he didn’t just turn up and start shouting out names with no relevance. Peter explained that he normally takes 400-500 photos during the day, which we thought was amazing as this would really help capture our special day from which we planned to pick about 80-100 photos.
The day of the wedding arrived and we knew exactly what and how Peter would be taking the photos, with back up plans for bad weather luckily not needed, we had a beautiful, sunny and cloudless September day. Peter started his day (8am) with Sarah and the bridesmaids getting ready at her uncles, capturing those important moments of Sarah getting ready and those fun movements like being dragged out the front door by her dad. Peter then arrived at the venue, Fanham's Hall to take photos of boys before the ceremony started capturing the fun side of boys dressed in suits. The ceremony took place with no intrusion from Peter, who was happily snapping away. After the ceremony it was outside for the champagne reception and photos. This was the stage we were most concerned about, as it involved organising over 100 guests for photos. Before we knew it the organised photos were finished with no complications or stress. Peter has a very rare talent of being able to make everyone, in and out of the photo shoot, to feel so calm and happy as well as making everyone laugh at the same time to capture that important moment. The way he communicates and interacts with people is amazing.
Peter stayed with us throughout the whole day, snapping away until gone 9pm, personally we think it was due to all the free food and drink that was on offer, but he assured me that it was because he was enjoying himself!
For weeks after, everyone that we met was talking about Peter, the way he mingled with everyone, his approachability and friendliness. We’re sure that he must have spoken with every person (in total over 140) who attended our special day and made him feel part of the family.
After the madness had subsided of sorting everything out after the wedding, Peter invited us back to his studio where we were delighted to be met with over 800 amazing photos of our magical day. This lead to one big problem, how are we going to select 80 – 100 photos for our album? Working with Peter we managed to put together a storybook containing over 120 pictures capturing our special day from start to finish. Even though we had over the stated amount and changed our minds several times, it was never a problem. Peter wanted to produce a Storybook which we wanted, and looked right and was happy to incorporate all our changes to produce our ultimate Storybook.
July 2009 our baby daughter was born and like all new parents getting photos of your newborn is a must. Without hesitation we called Peter and he explained about the Birthday Club where your newborn gets three photo shoots over a year to capture key moments such as tiny baby, sitting and then walking with a free portfolio at the end. It was really nice to see Peter again with our eight week old daughter. We were so impressed with the photos taken that we had to purchase one. But how do you purchase just one photo out of the 150 photos taken, so we brought three. The second visit was at eight months and without doubt another successful shoot with four photos purchased. The last photo shoot was at 13 months and you guessed it, three more photos purchased.
Peter is a multi-talented photographer who does not only take photos but interacts with you and puts 120% into every thing he does to produce no half hearted or poorly taken photos. Peter is happy to experiment with ideas to ensure that every photo captures the moment and feelings perfectly. There were times when we visited and Peter had ‘man flu’, but this didn’t hold him back. It has been a real delight to have worked with Peter over the last few years and now with our second baby on the way, we have already talked about booking Peter for the next set of baby photos.
If anyone ever asks for us to recommend a photographer for any occasion, we always recommend Peter. The only way that you can understand the true skills Peter holds is to have the opportunity of working with him. Peter deserves to prosper as a photographer and we hope he will be available to capture the photos of our daughters wedding in years to come.

I visited Picture This Studios to have some boudoir style photographs taken recently. I was very nervous and although I knew what sort of photograph I would like I had never done anything like that before. I was very quickly put at ease by Peter's professional yet relaxed approach. We discussed what I would like and he offered some suggestions. He took the time to discuss everything with me and showed me the photographs as we went along to see if I was happy. The whole experience was unrushed and professional but it was also such fun. I would thoroughly recommend Peter and his studios. The photographs look amazing. Thank you for making me feel so special and look so good in the pictures.

I want to thank you on behalf of Suniti, Chris, Chandra, Atul and myself for your efforts in capturing the Big Day. We were so impressed with the amount of work you put in prior to the Big Day. Your idea of the engagement portrait is excellent as it gave the Bride and Groom a chance to get to know you. The engagement portrait you prepared for signing by the guests is absolutely fantastic; it is full of lovely messages from our guests.
On the day you made it look so natural for everyone to be posing for photos! Your tact, diplomacy and charm really helped things run smoothly. You worked energetically all through the celebrations. Your knowledge of the venue was an added bonus and you worked well in a team with the other service providers, most of whom you knew, but also with those who you met for the first time.
Again, many many thanks for all your hard work. You played a very big part in the success of the day.

Barry and I wanted to say a HUGE thank you! You have exceeded our expectations both with the quality of the fantastic photographs you have produced of our special day and also the warm, friendly, funny and totally professional service you supply. As you know, when we met at the wedding exhibition I had my two little boys in tow! You were the only photographer at the exhibition who wasn’t stressing at the thought of the children touching anything on display. You even bent down and engaged in conversation with them. I explained that I hated having my photograph taken and as such was dreading the whole experience! Probably the only reason Barry proposed was to get a decent photo of me!!! You made me feel at ease. We laughed and joked and I found I wasn’t dreading it anymore! It was then I knew it had to be Picture This. When we looked through your sample albums we were blown away. As well as the structured posed photographs we all know and love, there were so many gorgeous candid shots too. Just what we were after. From start to finish you have been patient, informative, friendly and not at all pushy.
On the day itself everyone commented on your fantastic humorous approach. You are not bossy as some photographers are! You put everyone at ease and the laughter you see in the photographs is genuine and not at all posed. Even though I was a bit pre-occupied (getting married tends to do that) I couldn’t fail to notice the effort and sheer hard work you put in that day. You must have been exhausted by the end of it! To find out you were the photographer at my cousins wedding over 10 years earlier was just amazing. Of course I was far too young to remember…..well okay not that young but it just shows what fantastic photographs you take and what great taste my family has!
So a very warm and heartfelt thank you from us both. Barry at long last has the photographs he wanted ( he’ll divorce me now)! I can finally look at a photograph of myself after many years of avoiding them. Above all, you have captured our wedding day so amazingly that the only problem was deciding on which photographs to choose!! We will treasure the album forever. The boys love looking at the photographs too and we get a resounding “Meee” every time they see themselves.
We’d have no hesitation in recommending you to all our friends and family and if ever we require a photographer again we will definitely come back to Picture This!

We met Peter at a Wedding Fair in Hertfordshire about a year before our big day. Whilst I was busy looking at flowers and table decorations my Fiance was trying to drag me away to show me this photographer 'We just HAD to have'!
When i met Peter i knew Adam had made the best choice - he was funny, helpful and the albums on display spoke for themselves.
On our wedding day Peter was amazing. He put everybody at ease and all our guests thought he was great.
When we went to collect our preview album I wasnt at all worried as i trusted Peter completely - the pictures were a real tribute to the perfect day.

After a top recommendation from a friend, I booked Picture This for our wedding day and am thrilled with the choice we made. Whenever we rang Picture This Sarah was always extremely helpful and put us at ease about any issues or questions that we had.
